Maud Geffray - merge?

Maud Geffray (I) - nm2690043

Maud Geffray (II) - nm6563108

Maud Geffray (IV) - nm6166206

Maud Geffray (I) has 2 Actress, 1 Director and 1 Composer credit.

Maud Geffray (II) has 4 Composer, 1 Music Department and 3 Soundtrack credits.

Maud Geffray (IV) has one Writer credit.

I believe that these three are one and the same.

Maud Geffray is the name of a French musician, part of Scratch Massive (nm2901792) group.

Scratch Massive was the composer for
  • “Broken English” (tt0772157), directed by Zoe Cassavetes (nm0144023).
  • “Day out of Days" (tt3752902), directed by Zoe Cassavetes (nm0144023).
Maud Geffray (I) had a small part in “Broken English”.

Maud Geffray (I) had a small part in “X Femmes {Samedi Soir” (tt1574330), directed by Zoe Cassavetes.

Maud Geffray (IV)'s writing credit is for "Paris" (tt3416680), a short directed by Zoe Cassavetes.

A French film/television webpage notes Maud Geffray (II)’s work (as part of Scratch Massive) in composing soundtracks for Cassavetes’ movies.

Maud Geffray (II) can be seen in a photograph with Cassavetes at a film festival.

Several of Cassavetes’ films have been made in France, where Maud Geffray (II) lives.

Maud Geffray (II)'s FaceBook page has a post noting her work on Cassavetes’ films - February 25, 2016 ·

The coincidence of three people with the same name all being involved in films by Zoe Cassavetes seems quite unlikely, given that the name "Maud Geffray" is not a common one.

What do other people think of this? Are these the same person?

Hi Graham  -

Based on your research, it seems more likely than not that the three pages belong to the same person.  Go ahead and request a name merge through our online form and our editors will take a look.

Cheers!

Thanks, Michelle.

I have submitted 'name merge' requests for Maud Geffray (II) and Maud Geffray (IV).

I'll let you know what happens.

The name merges have been approved and the merged entry (Maud Geffray nm2690043) is 'live'.

However, not all the credits are on the merged entry.

The following credits are all there -
Maud Geffray (I) - 2 Actress, 1 Director and 1 Composer credit.
Maud Geffray (IV) - one Writer credit.
However, the three soundtrack credits for this entry are not there at present.
Maud Geffray (II) - 4 Composer, 1 Music Department and 3 Soundtrack credits.
When I look at the Soundtrack items themselves, the name 'Maud Geffray (II)' has been replaced by her number.

This number then links to the merged entry (Maud Geffray - nm2690043).

Is this a glitch in the 'name merge' process?
