Live With Kelly and Ryan historical names
The show 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' (tt0096636) has actually been known by at least four different names over the years: 'Live with Regis and Kathie Lee', 'Live with Regis and Kelly', 'Live with Kelly and Michael', and 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' (all appearing in the AKA list). It appears that IMDb has merely updated the name as co-hosts came and went (as the show changed names), rather than create new entries for each iteration - though someone did create a new item for 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' (tt12026034). While I can appreciate that it is certainly much easier to change the name rather than create new entries, this can lead to confusion in other places. For instance, trivia items for Regis Philbin which were obviously created to reference the show by its original name now refer to it as 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' (except for the 'Salary' entry, which somehow shows the link as 'Live with Regis and Kathie Lee'). That said, I guess several questions come from this:
1. What is the policy regarding series name changes? In the Contributor Zone, under AKAs, there is some provision for listing the new names as they evolve, but certain levels of information can be lost, such as how many episodes were made under each iteration.
2. As I noted earlier, somehow, under the Salary section for Regis Philbin (nm0005310), the Salary entry shows as 'Live with Regis and Kathie Lee' - is there some way to insert a link in trivia, goofs, etc. that shows the original title (or even one of the other iterations), rather than the current title?
3. Is there some way to set up a relationship between the different versions of a series (such as the 'Live with... ' series) so that episodes pertaining to each iteration are kept under that title, yet all the series-level information (such as trivia) are kept in one place? If not, is there any thought to possibly enhancing the system to handle that? I know that something like this would depend on how often the situation arises, but I'm positive that the example shown here is not the only occurrence of this issue.

Hi james_johnston_4d5h8woi6a7ga -
I have reached out to the appropriate policy team to clarify and confirm our listing preferences concerning these specific scenarios. As soon as I have an update I will relay the information here.
Cheers!
