John Lee (III) appears to be a combination of two different people.

John Lee (III) appears to be a combination of two different people - one active from 1970 to 1998, and the other from 2004-2022. Is it possible someone could look into this? Thank you.

Hello fishbulb,

In this case a name split has to be submitted in order to separate the credits and differentiate them. Please take a look at our How can I move credits to a different page? help guide with more instructions and details.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess this database doesn't have anyone who researches and corrects errors.

I don't have any direct knowledge of either of these artists or their repertoire, so I wouldn't be comfortable making any changes myself.

Hi @fishbulb -

"John Lee" is a fairly common name, so it's possible that there are mixed up credits.  However, unless you are certain that the credits belong to two different individuals, you shouldn't request a name/page split and the credits should remain listed as-is.

No, I can't be certain, because I don't have any direct knowledge of either of these artists. Someone else would have to verify whether or not they are the same person. I just happened to notice that they appear to be two different people. One that is younger and Nashville-based, and one that is older and seemingly LA-based.

Hi @fishbulb -

Thanks for sharing your observations.  For now, we will need to retain the credits as-is, until there is certainty that the work belongs to two separate individuals.

Cheers!
