Is it possible to change primary image set by a pro member?

If a pro member uploads an image and made it primary in a title. Is it possible that a non-pro member can change the primary image?

It depends on whether that title image is locked.

You'll see this if it is not locked.

@Karen_P What do you mean by locked?

Michelle commented below about a name page.

Are you referring to a name page or a movie (Title) page?

Please post the URL of the page your referring to.

I was referring to movie title pages. Nothing specific. Just an academic doubt.

How is it for titles?

How do I update a titles poster?

Poster changes can be requested via the icon - however the image will need to be the type poster, more help can be found here.

Hi Germanic -

"Locked" means that a the claimed page owner has already selected a primary image, and a new featured image cannot be requested.  So if an IMDbPro member has uploaded a primary image for their page, you cannot change or request a new primary image for that individual.

Cheers!

I should point out that I've never observed a title primary image that was locked, i.e. uploaded through IMDbPro as a featured image of an IMDb name page. If such a thing is even possible, it perhaps ought not be, because the title primary image would be switched around in the event of the end/lapse of an IMDbPro subscription associated with a locked image. By the way, just to note, all title primary images (except for the ones for episodes of series) are supposed to be posters, of a 2:3 width-to-height ratio.

Jeorj.

There are many title images that are locked by a "Studio Partner"

I have seen them.

You may not have, but they exist.

Yes, I'm aware of those, and they are not what I had in mind when I wrote the bit about posters. If I recall correctly, there is no indication that they are locked until an attempt is made to reassign the title primary image.

The feature to lock a poster has to do with IMDb Title Scorecard, not Pro.

With that being stated, we're all on the same page now, I hope.
