IMDb Staff declined a couple of my updates regarding Russian & Ukrainain mini-series/movies' credits [part 2]
Hi, I've noticed that a couple of movies that have Ukrainian language as the original audio of the dialogue are listed incorrectly in IMDb. I've submitted request to those titles a couple of months ago and recently learned that couple of my submissions were unfortunately declined citing "Unable to verify.". Please help me with the following submissions:
Submission #19: Pravilo boya (2017)
* imdb link: https://contribute.imdb.com/title/tt1334009
* original ID: # 190223-182141-932000
* re-submitted ID: # 190414-082340-34800
*
proof that film was in Russian (original audio): See Ukrainian Wikipedia artcle where it clearly says that this movie was originally shot in Russian and only later dubbed into Ukrainian: http://bit.ly/2v5sa2C Also you if you watch the movie on Youtube, you can hear that all dialogues are spoken in Russian: all charecters move their lips pronouncing Russian words: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-iEk7m4SE8; Also you can see that for Ukrainian theatrical release, there was a version created with Ukrainian dubbing (in addition to Russian original), since it was mentioned repeatedly in Ukrainian press, e.g., http://web.archive.org/web/20170128030533/http://moviegram.com.ua/oleksij-shaparev-te-scho-robyv-usy...
Submission #20: Moya rusalka, moya Lorelyay (2013)
* imdb link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4079976/
* original ID: #190223-053638-777000
* re-submitted ID: # 190414-092957-829000
* proof that film was in Russian (original audio): See Ukrainian Wikipedia artcle where it clearly says that this movie was originally shot in Russian: http://bit.ly/2Dep9l3 ; see film: http://kinoflux.org/19506-loreley-2013.html , it's 100% in Russian; Also, see DVD set for this film says it's in Russian: https://www.russiandvd.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=60469
Submission #21-
21) #190223-191227-132000 (original), #190414-093448-446000 (pending)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1819757/
Order should be: Russian, Ukrainian (currently, it's Ukrainain, Russian). Out of short-films in this movie, only ONE is in Ukrainian, while others are in Russian. See this movie on Megogo https://megogo.net/ua/view/14513-zakohani-zakohani-u-ki-v.html
== Section 3: Various rejected submissions on IMDb over the years that are questinalbe ==
Also, looked at the history of my submissions, and some of the non-language rejections seem unreasonable. Can you just re-review my original submission or do I have to re-submit these too?
Rejection 1: countries of co-production corrected
imdb link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5618752/
Rejected submission ID: #180205-040351-022000 (rejected 1st time)
Rejected sbumission ID: #180205-040351-022000 (rejected 2nd time)
re-submitted ID: 190414-062457-314000 (pending)
* The order of countries of production is clearly labled for film Krotkaya (2017) , it should be: FRANCE, GERMANY, NETHERLANDS, LITHUANIA . This is confirmed by:
* Cannes film festival submission for this film: http://www.festival-cannes.com/en/festival/films/krotkaya
* Official website for the production company: http://web.archive.org/web/20190414023535/https://www.prod.slotmachine.fr/a-gentle-creature
* Film credits themselves clearly show only 4 above mentioned countries as co-producing countries, see snippet here: https://img.hurtom.com/image/kVE or get a moview on iTunes and watch for yourself ( https://itunes.apple.com/be/movie/une-femme-douce/id1322008973 )
* Lastly, this issue is documented in detail on Ukrainian Wikipedia aritcle for the moview (where it provides references that prove that Ukraine was NOT one of the co-producing countries: http://bit.ly/2UXMIJ0
Rejection 2: actors names were corrected
Rejected submission ID:
#180117-014414-830000 (1st rejection)
#180202-151843-499000 (2nd rejection)
This film (Storozhova zastava (2017)) was shot in Ukrainian and ALL credits at the end of the film were in Ukrainian. Therefore, in order to create English credits you need to provide correct transliteration of Ukrainian names into English (which I did). So then why was this correction rejected twice?
Rejection 3: 2nd cinematographer added
#181231-053549-900000 (1st rejection)
I added 2nd cinematographer (Yaroslav Pilunskiy / Ярослав Пилунский). He's clearly visible as 2nd cinematographer in movie credits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GILhrdNXXgg (see 2:06:34, where it lists him as: Операторьі-постановщики: Владимир Смутньі, Ярослав Пилунский
Rejection 4: Incorectly written actor's name
# 190414-043002-611000 (pending, previously tried correcting this numerous times in the past => somehow it keeps reverting back to incorrect spelling)
Actor's profile: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0838921/
Correct transliteration of her name from Ukrainian to English: Olha Sumska
See usage of it in:
* English-language media: https://www.kyivpost.com/tag/olha-sumska
* Engilsh Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olha_Sumska
Rejection 4: Incorectly written title for https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6024596/
#190414-043823-157000 (pending)
Correct transliteration of this title from Ukrainian to English: Stolitta Yakova
See this series on tv-channel's official website: https://1plus1.ua/stolitta-yakova
=== Section 5: Various pending submissions, where I corrected language, etc. ==
* https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055635/
This film was shot originally shot in Ukrainian in 1961. The original version was thought as lost for many years and was only rediscovered in 2013. This is a well-documented fact:
* see news coverage for when the original UKrainian audio was found: https://gazeta.ua/articles/sogodennya/_vidnajshli-ukrayinomovnij-original-filmu-za-dvoma-zajcyami-po... https://zik.ua/news/2013/07/19/v_internet_vyklaly_ukrainomovnu_versiyu_filmu_za_dvoma_zaytsyamy_4202...
* see original Ukrainian version on Yotube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fikW83jU5kA
* ID: 190414-044522-177000 (pending)
Rejection 4: Incorectly written title for https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059655/
ID: #180116-040428-631000 (declined)
resubmitted: #190414-050833-383000 (pending)
imdb url: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059655/
The main title is wrong (original was in Ukrainian, so transliteration should also be from Ukrainian, e.g., title should be "Krynyzia dlia sprahlyh" instead of current "Rodnik dlya zhazhdushchikh" (1987)
Rejection 4: Wrong order of languages https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3747600/
There are more Russian-language dialogues, than Ukrainian ones. Therfore Russian should be listed as #1 language
original ID: #180116-051350-302000 (rejected)
re-submited ID: #190414-054608-352000 (pending)
Rejection 5: Wrong order of languages https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2204313/
There are more Russian-language dialogues, than Ukrainian ones. Therfore Russian should be listed as #1 language
original ID: #180116-050727-650000 (rejected)
re-submited ID: 190414-053951-132000 (pending)
Rejection 6: I clarified that the audio was for Ukrainian version https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5378092/
This cartoon was originally voiced into English. I clarified that voice actors on imdb are for Ukrainian version, but for some reason this clarfication got rejected
original ID: #180117-013930-769000 (rejected)
I didn't re-submit this (cause it's too much wokr). Can you just accept the original submission.
Rejection 7: I corrected the countries of production for this title https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2217971/
There's only 1 country of prodution listed on the cartoon's credits: Russia. On the dvd for this cartoon, the only country credited is Russia (see https://www.golddisk.ru/goods/49385.html or https://www.golddisk.ru/goods/47559.html)
Original ID: #190127-080822-185000
re-submitted ID: #190414-083422-533000

Romaninho Nabaidyzhiy, thanks for caring about the original titles, but unfortunately you are doing this not correct. And editors have already accepted the wrong variants of yours. You should never mention any other sources for rules of transliteration, because IMDb follows their own rules, and such rules are the same as in Google (at least, for Ukrainian transliteration).
Here is how the correct variant may be checked when you don't know the IMDb rules of transliteration:
The titles for above two movies should be spelled in Ukrainian (that is original) this way:
"Століття Якова"
"Криниця для спраглих"
those can be checked by editors against the original pictures (posters).
Then you take those original titles and input them into Google translator:
As you see now, the correct variants for the two movies are:
Stolittya Yakova
Krynytsya dlya sprahlykh
In view of all the above, please submit anew the correct variants for both to improve your own efforts. Thanks in advance.

I'm not certain of where "Part 2" of your previous post begins, if there are still outstanding submissions that have not been approved, can you post those submission reference numbers and if possible, also include any online links/sources to help verify the update you are trying to make regarding the submission?
