No Status

I can't do this anymore, I just give up...

I've been asking about the same 2... TWO, when there's still TWO HUNDRED left to input. And they're being rejected over and over.

You just don't want anything anymore on this site? That's it? it's frozen now? So, tell me honestly, what the hell was the point of accepting a bit over 100? 100 entries are fine, just not the next two? What kind of bizarre neurology do people have here? ONE HUNDRED WERE ALREADY ACCEPTED!!!

I'm fed up. That's it. I can't keep trying to input them again and again! This is literally the fourth or fifth time I try this!! What do you expect me to do exactly, if these two are ever accepted, that I input the next 200 four or five times too? So in the end I would have inputted a total of 1000? Oh yeah, or I could just give up...

They're #211020-133257-997000 - #211020-133349-358000 by the way, if anyone at all cares at this point. Fix this data entry disaster or no one will bother!!

Being: Please post your last full data submission here on this message board. You can copy it out of the receipt you would have received from IMDb by e-mail immediately after sending it in. Some of the regulars on the board may review it and, if they can, they may provide suggestions as to how to improve the submission to get it included in the database.

@gromit82 it's only a connection, not sure what can change about that, but the original 'reason' for rejection (might as well be a lottery at this point, since it's so arbitrary) was...

"In the "Miscellaneous Link" section of the new title submission form, add links to third party sites detailing the production."

It already has links to the episodes, so I don't see what the issue is... besides the fact 100+ identical links/eps were already accepted... so *some* consistency would be so welcome...

Hi Being -

I reviewed both submissions you referenced and observed the following regarding the rejections:

Submission #211020-133257-997000: this could not be approved because by the time it was processed the episode title page had since been removed from the site.  I located the active episode title page and have now manually added the Connection.

Submission #211020-133349-358000:  same as the above, this could not be approved because by the time it was processed the episode title page had since been removed.  I located the active episode title page and manually added the Connection.

To help nail down why this issue is reoccurring, can you clarify how you are submitting these Connections?

@Michelle

What how...? These are the same two I've literally been trying to submit FOR WEEKS. And if you think that someone should waste weeks just to submit two entries on some site...

Just follow all my previous attempts, surely you can see the history.

I'm convinced that all these 'rationales' are nothing but excuses because whoever is reviewing my submissions dislikes me for some reason and wants to reject all due to that. I showed evidence of that in the other thread remember, the most minor of edits was rejected too.

Just get them to stop! Clearly they're going rogue!

Hi Being -

I can can confirm that the sole reason for these specific rejections was a technical one.

I investigated the issue further and can see that the problem is that you are submitting the data within a new episode title submission, however, the data is rejected as a duplicate because the episode title already exists on the site.

To prevent this issue from reoccurring, I encourage you to first check the existing TV Series for the episode title, if the episode is listed, then you should submit the data directly to that existing episode title.  If the episode title is not yet listed, then you can proceed with a new episode title submission.

I hope this helps!

To add to what Michele advises,

I remember a regular contributor recently observed that if he created a new episode with all the data, he was likely to be bested by someone creating the episode bare-bones, and then need to re-enter all the data again as a change to the existing episode.

Sounds like a similar situation here.

@Michelle and @bderoes

That wasn't at all it, no, I'm fairly familiar with the interface that comes up for that, which requires you to confirm that a new, identically titled ep is wanted anyway, and this certainly wasn't that. I'm pretty sure I was clicking 'edit' for the ep, and at any rate they were rejected even originally when I created the eps in the first place too...

So, the issue seems to be that whoever is rejecting them doesn't want me to make the connections... it's nothing technical apparently, they barely wanted me to create the eps originally, and they were only create after posting here... and surely, one needs to ask, why can't people simply be trusted to create more similar eps after creating 100+ already...? Like, IMDB seriously thinks the verifier suddenly knows more than a person who's already created that many? They're only hindering the process, and you all simply need to ask yourself if you want to keep employing people just there apparently to hinder growth.
