How do I move an acting credit back to "acting" and out of "self"?

Years ago I worked on The Man Show, a day player as the "Sleazy Bald Guy". For years the credit was where it belonged, under my acting credits. For some reason unbeknownst to me it was moved to the "self" category. I would like to put it back where it belongs, where it was for many years, under acting. I really don't like the idea that I was playing my "self" as a "sleazy bald guy". I know that nobody else would really care about this, but I find it pretty offensive.

If this is a talk show with both ”Self” credits and acting segments, you probably should add a keyword ”reenactment” to the title:

reenactment  Used for a Documentary so that actors portraying scripted people are not listed as 'Self' if they have a character name

Thanks. Maybe using "reenactment" will work.

Thanks. I used your suggestion and expanded on it. By altering the character designation, I was able to then explain what I was doing and why. It worked, they moved the credit back to the acting category within a few hours. Thanks for the help, very appreciated!! And if anyone from IMDB is checking this, thanks for listening and taking care of this for me.  Again, very appreciated.

Usually if a person is not listed as ”Self”, it’s considered that he/she is ”acting” (with, or without the character description). Then usually the problem is keyword and/or genre related (”Documentary” and ”TV Special” genres mean = non-fiction, for example).

Understood, however this credit should never have been moved. It was obviously an acting credit, and had been listed as such for over 20 years. Inexplicably moved by someone. Who goes by "bald sleazy guy" as themselves? The Man Show was a variety show, I had appeared in a skit.
