How do I add a photo for an actress on IMDB without needing to join IMDB Pro

How do I add a photo of an actress with multiple listings (Welcome to the Dollhouse, Living in Oblivion, etc). Her name was Rica Martins. IMDB has a biography but no photo of her. She passed away in 1999.

I have a nice backstage photo that I took of her when we were in an Off Broadway (NYC) play together. How do I add it to IMDB?

I posted this question and was told I had to personally get an IMDB Pro membership to post a photo that IMDB is lacking of an established actress who passed twenty years ago !!!!

I'm not an actor. (Well, I was, as a child but I'm 53 and I've already had a career in public health that I've retired from)

I just thought it would be appropriate for someone I knew and was fond of,  to be properly identified for her work. It came to mind because I had a photo that I took myself, so there are no copyright issues.

I would think IMDB would want a complete database.

For the life of me, I can't understand why this is so complicated. Why is it necessary for me to become a paid member or a member at all, to give you a photo I took, for your records. If you had one of her already that might be different ... but you don't.

Isn't the whole idea of IMDB (Internet Movie database), to have a complete database?

This is all a bit crazy, don't you think?

I want to give you my photo to add to your database. Why do I need to pay (for IMDB PRO) or join anything? Shouldn't an established actress who died 20 years ago have her photo on her own IMDB page that you created?.

Hi AaronJCohen -

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer the option to post images for any unclaimed name page on our site.

Currently, an IMDbPro membership is required to display photos and/or detailed professional information on filmography pages at this time. If in the future, we create a memorial service to display photos for friends and loved ones who have passed away, we'll announce it prominently on the site and within this community.

I don't get it. You wanna (wanted to) be the complete entertainment reference .... Yet even though you don't have a pic for a profile YOU CREATED, you won't take one that's being GIVEN to you?

That's only because you gave up being an informational reference and became a greedy business, preying on actors who need the exposure.

Great way to reduce a common good to its lowest common denominator.
