How can I change the order of my IMDB bio to read, "Actor, Director, Producer, Writer"? Right now, it lists, "Actor" first.

Hi, Marc Levin. The technical capacity for such a thing to be customized is not available. The ordering is determined by a fixed algorithm applied universally to name pages. So, the only way the manipulate the order is to manipulate the algorithm's input, which would entail increasing, in your case, the number of non-actor items of your filmographies. For more information, please see GS topic "Director Credit Missing from Top of Profile Page" and the replies to it.

Hi Marc,

The profession summary at the top of your name page is generated automatically based on filmography credits and cannot be added or updated manually.

Once you list filmography credits, our system will automatically display the applicable professions (i.e. Actor/Actress, Director, Producer, etc.) based on the number of each profession credit you have listed. Please note, episodes are counted as individual titles.

This categorization is not meant to imply anything about the relative importance of a credit, or to give a higher profile to one job at the expense of another: it's solely based on our internal data management restrictions.

Thanks
Meredith

Marc Levin! I forgot to mention that for the mini-bio itself, if one has not been manually submitted and approved to your profile, the system creates an automatically-generated short bio that also conforms to algorithm. However, in the case of automatically-generated bio, it can be overridden upon the presence of an actual bio item.
