Goof corrections declined due to lack of proof?

I submitted 3 goof deletions for Wizard of Oz because they aren't actually goofs, and all three were declined due to "unable to verify."  I've never had this happen before and never had to provide proof that the goofs were wrong when the proofs are actually the movie itself.  Two of the goofs are misinterpretations of scenes, and one is a factual mistake based on the original poster's own experiences and not the experiences of an entire section of the United States (as in, there is no way to prove the original post, much less my correction/deletion.)  How can i prove these deletions so they can be accepted?  Contribution #190513-011923-630000

Hello, Heather J

A better and usually preferred way to deal with debunked goofs is to correct them as "Incorrectly regarded as goofs" rather then deleting. That way they're less likely to be added anew, which unfortunately will happen, especially with a well-known movie like that.

Hi Heather,

As Nikolay has stated, it is often preferred to modify the goof as 'Incorrectly regarded as goofs', particularly if the goof has been live on the site for a long period of time. This will prevent other users who believe it is a goof from adding it.

You can submit the modification, adding in your explanation of why these are not goofs into the submission and changing the goof type. Our data editors will then be able to review this further for you.

Thanks

Hi Merideth. Is it possible to take a look at my credit? There is an imposter who had added false info to my page which I am finding very difficult to fix.

I have the appropriate verification for my credit as well. Thanks!

Meredith,

Thank you for your reply.  I went and made the changes you suggested.  How do they get resubmitted for checking?  When I click "re-check these updates" it bring me back to the same page, never seeming to resubmit?

Hi Heather,

Can you confirm if the form is yellow and if there are any acknowledgements on the submission page? If so, you will need to address any warnings before this can be submitted.

Let us know if you have further issues and we'll do our best to help out!

Joel,

There were no warnings.  I gave up yesterday and saved the contributions, and then today when I went back and clicked submit, it did.  Not sure what the problem was yesterday, but it seems to be fine now.  Thanks!

So, of the three original corrections, two were approved.  One was not, because "unable to verify."  Here is the goof before and after correction (italics and bolding to show what I added).  What do I need to do to provide proof?  The "factual mistake" isn't a fact at all!

GOOF EDIT
Before - Houses in the Mid-West (Tornado Alley) are built with storm cellars that you can enter from inside the house, not outside the house. This prevents being injured or killed by an approaching tornado. Factual Mistake

After - Houses in the Mid-West (Tornado Alley) are built with storm cellars that you can enter from inside the house, not outside the house. This prevents being injured or killed by an approaching tornado. Although this is more common now, many homes in the mid-west are older homes that do not have storm cellar entries inside the house. You still have to go outside to enter the shelter, so this is not an unreasonable scene to show in the movieIncorrectly regarded as goof

Hi Heather J -

In order for our staff to take a look, can you post the submission reference number here associated with your Goof correction?
