executive in charge credit question
Question about which department the "executive in charge" goes in. This would include just that credit by itself, or followed by a company, such as "executive in charge: DIY" such as found at the end of many credit rolls. Also, I'm distinguishing this from the credit "executive in charge of production", which seems to be healthily at home in the Production Manager section. There are MANY other "executive in charge" of something-or-other, which I'm not including here.
I did a rough count on three departments, as follows:
Producers: 1649
Production Managers: 876
Miscellaneous: 2048
I expected a lot in the miscellaneous section, as this is a catch-all for everything, but somewhat surprised to see twice as many in the Producer section. I admit I've put those credits in both the Production Manager and Miscellaneous sections and am still not sure. This, of course, is assuming there is a possible difference between "executive in charge" and "executive in charge of production".
And then there is the "vice president in charge" type credit, which, without the "of production" modifier, I think belongs in Miscellaneous, but that's another kettle of fish.

Not sure what department. Perhaps Misc? IMDb should chime in.

We aim to reflect the credits exactly as they appear on-screen under the correct department. Executive in charge credits usually go under production managers department. The credit in question should be listed as following:
Production Managers
executive in charge: HGTV Network

I hope this helps.
