Combined 2 part episode merged with one of the individual parts
To be specific, I would like IMDb rules plus comments from fellow contributors on my plan for the following:
There is a 2 part episode of "American Experience" called "The Circus" aired on 2 consecutive days (each part in a 2 hour time slot). Someone submitted this as a single episode. This single episode was submitted with the episode number of the first part, but the air date of the second part.
There are also separate entries for each episode (The Circus Part 1, The Circus Part 2) with correct air dates (per PBS series web site), however they have no episode numbers and are on the "Unknown Season" page.
The page for the combined episodes has 3 reviews and other info, so I can't very well delete it.
My plan is to merge the combined episodes page with the first episode. I am somewhat familiar with merging episodes, so I know that I have to change the air date of the combined episodes to the air date of the first episode (can't merge if they have different dates). Any other advice on merging would be welcome. Also any comments if this merge is not a good idea.
I would then add correct episode number for part 2 (fortunately that episode number was left free).

P.S. I know that I would have to add the running time for parts 1 & 2, because the running time is not the usual 1 hour episode length.

Your plan sounds reasonable to me.

Hi Karen_P,
Nice to hear from you again.
I apologize for my Subject heading; it's awkwardly worded.
