Bug with Quotes Section
I noticed this issue a few times but it was in the period I was without forum account and it just occurred to post about it.
When I've noticed a character name is wrong, and I've had it corrected but there are quotes from this character in the Quote section, is that the old incorrect name remains in that section and there is no way to alter it, even if you delete the quote and re-add, the drop down menu with all the character names does not update to the corrected name. Even after a year of the correction it does not update nor can it be corrected.
This is not limited to one incident, it is every time the above happens.
So could you have the technical team look into this if they aren't already aware of it.
Thanks.

Hi VonPunk -
Thanks for calling out this contribution issue with Quotes data. Can you post the details for a recent example of this occurrence? I can then pass this along to our technical team to investigate.
Cheers!

It is true that you the name in the quotes page doesn't automatically change when the character name in the cast list is changed. It is mentioned in the guidelines that character names in the quote section are allowed to differ from the main cast list.
But it is possible to change the character name used in each quote by choosing "Other". Have you tried this?
PS. Previous similar report: Character name not updated in quotes

In this episode of "Doctor Who" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13464078/quotes?ref_=tttrv_ql_4
the character named "Mary Seacole" is misspelled as "Mary Seacote" in the Quotes section.
I submitted contribution #211216-000036-672000 to correct the mistake and it was actually kinda weird: since I didn't know exactly how to correct the character's name in the drop-down menu (the character's name in the Cast and Crew section is perfectly correct), I used the option "Other". Next to the "Other" box I entered the actress's name (Sara Powell (I)) and... lo and behold, the character's name was automatically filled in, in its correct spelling!
In other words, the actress's name appears to be connected to TWO character names,"Mary Seacote", which is incorrect, but it's how it's shown in the drop-down menu, and "Mary Seacole", which is correct, but will only show up if one uses the "Other" option, when trying to correct the quote.
