Appropriate section for IMDB User made Art published in magazines?

What appropriate section would be appropriate for when someone makes art that's featured in a printed magazine. What section would it go in?

Harrison: To help us understand your question better, do you have a name page (not just a user page) listed in IMDb already? Also, can you provide a link to the art feature as shown on the magazine's web site?

It's not a film. or related to a film. But it was artwork made by a user the was featured in a magazine.

It's a printed magazine. And not on a website

Just giving an example of what I'm talking about. Andy Worhol made art and it was featured in a printed magazine.

Hi Harrison,

Please can you confirm if the art has been officially commissioned by the studio of the title you are attempting to add it to? If you can provide us with a link to the title page we can look into this further for you.

Thanks

It was a magazine called function magazine. The artist made a series for them. They won't commissioned since it was one of those magazines where they have open submissions but the filmmaker had a Art series accepted into it

Harrison: My recommendation would be to enter the art feature in the Other Works section of the person's IMDb name page. See https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/biographical-data-guidelines/GMT9T242VQADZUQM#other for guidelines about this.

How would it be formatted. Because they didn't make a book. Their work is in on a page of a magazine

Harrison: Other Works is basically a free-text section of the database. You have to put the issue date of the magazine in parentheses at the start of the entry, as shown in the guidelines which I linked above. After that, you just have to indicate in some coherent manner what the item is (artwork, art feature, or however it would be described), what its title is, and what magazine it can be found in. I would include the page number, too.

Basically, make sure to give enough information that a librarian could find the item if they were looking for it.

wouldn't it be best for it to be in pictorials since their work is being featured in a printed magazine?

Harrison: I don't think so. The Pictorials section of IMDb is intended to be for "something that appears in a magazine or journal and consists primarily of photographs of the person in question".  See https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/biographical-data-guidelines/GMT9T242VQADZUQM#pictorials.

The feature would only qualify as a Pictorial for IMDb if the artist is a photographer and the feature consists of photos that the artist took of themselves.

Photos that the artist took of other subjects, or any other types of art (paintings, drawings, etc.), would not qualify as a Pictorial.
