Added as thanks on a film they weren't involved in

Hi there

A friend of mine David was added to a film called Explorers: Adventures of the Century" (2013) as thanks, but he didn't work on it and was not involved with the film at all. How would he remove himself from their credits? He tried going into the edit settings but all it showed him was that there was no data.

Alex: "Explorers: Adventures of the Century" is a TV series, not a film. That makes a big difference with regard to the "no data" issue. Most credits for TV series are stored by IMDb at the episode level, not the series level. He would have to go to the page for the specific episode where he is credited to fix the data.

That said, is it possible that the "thanks" credit was supposed to go to someone else with the same name? If so, instead of trying to delete the credit altogether, he should instead submit a correction to the credit to assign it to a person with a different roman numeral after his name.

If you have further questions about this, please provide all the details about this situation, and the contributors or staff here will try to help.

Good luck!
