2017 Primetime Emmy Awards Missing Category

There appears to be no way to add/correct Primetime Emmy Award information. My Emmy win for BETTER CALL SAUL: LOS POLLOS HERMANOS EMPLYEE TRAINING appears on my Personal page, but not on the Title page. Also, that category seems to be the only one missing on the 2017 Primetime Emmy Event page – a page that CANNOT be edited. Conversely, our recent nomination for a 2018 Producers Guild Award appears on the Title page, but NOT our Personal producers pages. When trying to add AWARD information from the Title page, it says it must be done from the AWARDS page, but on the Awards page, the phantom "yellow edit button" does not exist – nor does any kind of ADD AWARD/EVENT on the Event page. Any help in getting the Emmy win on the title page and the PGA nom on the personal pages would be most appreciated. I've spent far too many hours troubleshooting this. thx2

Dan: It appears that the Emmy you and 5 other people won for "Better Call Saul: Los Pollos Hermanos Employee Training" has been attributed to the parent series, "Better Call Saul"; see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3032476/awards. However, if I understand you correctly, it is supposed to be attributed to the webisode spinoff which is listed at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt7435402/.

Is that correct?

Also, I do see the category of Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series listed at http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000223/2017/1 as it should be, with the Emmy attributed to the parent series as mentioned above. There is a yellow "Edit page" button at the bottom of the page. Are you possibly looking at the page on an app or mobile site rather than the main site?

In any event, the way to fix this would be to delete the win from the Emmy Award page linked in the previous paragraph, and in the same submission, add the win but attributing it to "Better Call Saul: Los Pollos Hermanos Employee Training" instead of the main series. The fact that it can't be done with just a correction is annoying, especially because one will have to re-add all six people's names to the award, but it can't be helped.

Regarding the Producers Guild nomination, you can see at http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000531/2018/1 that no names have been associated with the nominated shows in your category, whereas in some but not all of the other categories, the producers' names are associated.

Looking at http://www.producersguild.org/news/381005/, it appears that the PGA, for some reason, follows a policy of (a) vetting the producers' eligibility in some categories before the nominees are announced, presumably to make sure that they did what the PGA considers the work of a producer; (b) vetting the producers' eligibility in other categories after the nominees are announced, but in time for the awards ceremony on January 20; and (c) not vetting the producers of short-form programs, sports programs, or children’s programs, and just announcing the winning production at the ceremony.

If I understand that correctly, that would imply that neither you nor your fellow producers would be considered to be nominated for the Award for Outstanding Short-Form Program; only the program itself would be a nominee. Maybe I have misunderstood, but in any event, you would not be able to get the PGA nomination for "Better Call Saul: Los Pollos Hermanos Employee Training" listed among your individual awards and nominations until the PGA officially recognizes you personally as a nominee by listing you as such.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

It can be a bit confusing, but there are two different pages listing the most recent Emmy Awards:

http://www.imdb.com/emmys/nominations/

http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000223/2...

The last one is the database page, which has the edit button.

Similarly for the PGA Awards:

http://www.imdb.com/awards-central/pr...

http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000531/2...

Particularly for the Emmys, the http://www.imdb.com/emmys/nominations/ page has only a selected number of categories.

You have to go to http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000223/2017/1/ to find the Creative Arts categories, as well as the Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series that "Los Pollos Hermanos Employee Training" was nominated in.

It would be preferable if the IMDb staff could find a way to link the two pages better. Maybe they should put a link near the top of http://www.imdb.com/emmys/nominations/ to say, "For the complete list of Emmy nominations in all categories, see http://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000223/2017/1/."

Dan,

A submission has been made to correct the error, which will mean removing the data with the incorrect title and submitting the data with the correct title.

After the items are approved, the correction should appear on the IMDb page in the next 7 days. Corrections on any awards pages usually take longer than other data items.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please write back if you have any more questions.

Hi Dan -

Looking at the award data, everything should now be listed correctly as the award Win is displaying on the title page here and on the event page here.  Cheers!
