200618-061142-276000 Goof Correction declined

Correction for goof under https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0830482/ (Thunderbirds - The Man From MI.5, season 1, ep. 17) was declined; submitted correction was as follows:

BEFORE
When Lady Penelope arrives in Nice, she instructs Bonson to wait in the Forest of Dean that night. However, the Forest of Dean is in Wiltshire, England, 722 miles away from Nice (in a straight line). This would be clearly impossible in the same day. | Errors in geography

AFTER
When Lady Penelope arrives in Nice, she instructs Bondson to wait in the Forest of Dean that night. However, the Forest of Dean is in Wiltshire, England, 722 miles away from Nice (in a straight line). This would be clearly impossible in the same day. According to Fanderson (an official fan club for Gerry Anderson's programs), the correct spelling of the forest is 'Digne', not 'Dean' as originally submitted to this page. | Incorrectly regarded as goof

COMMENT
Official fan club verification - https://fanderson.orgrefer.uk/productions/thunderbirds-series-one/ Whoever had submitted the original goof must have assumed that D-E-A-N - not D-I-G-N-E - was the correct spelling. If this is declined a third (or fourth) time, I will file a complaint.

Well, here is the complaint.

Fanderson is a registered and official fan club of television programmes created and produced by Gerry Anderson, Thunderbirds being one of those shows.
The original goof that was submitted may have referred to a DVD subtitle indicating a setting as the "Forest of Dean".
The link in the comment refers to the spelling as "Digne"; please see below an extract from that page:

Penelope agrees to meet Bondson in the Forest of Digne, where he reveals that the stolen papers are plans for a nuclear device.

As the majority of the episode is set in southern France, this could possibly refer to a forest area located near the town of Digne-les-Bains, which is a more plausible location for that scene.

At this time I am waiting on the "Official Gerry Anderson" Facebook page to re-verify this information - https://www.facebook.com/GerryAndersonOfficial/posts/1914848098645421 - and I find it incredulous that you are not accepting an official fan club's entry for that episode as proof of this goof update.

EDIT, 28 JUNE 2020
I have resubmitted the goof under reference 200625-013035-483000; that too has been Declined.
Please be specific about what additional verification you require, otherwise I may have to reconsider making any contributions to the IMDB website in future.

Hey Brendan - the submission reference you've supplied here is invalid but here's my feedback based on the data provided in your post:

I would suggest you submit a request to delete this goof with the evidence URL of https://fanderson.org.uk/productions/thunderbirds-series-one/ and if that gets declined please come back to me here with the submission number so I can investigate.

I agree with you but it might be time to give up.

I'm finding that IMDB staff decline Goofs and Goof corrections without explanation. They simply say "does not meet guidelines" with no other info. And the Guidelines are very complex.

I submitted a correction to a Goof in an area that I'm an expert in (computing) and twice IMDb declined the correction with no explanation or even hint as to why they declined my correction.

This is ridiculous.  What is the point of trying.
